I started this blog to keep everything about my new passion - digital macro and close-up photography - in one place. If you follow this blog you know that at first my posts consisted of information I found somewhere on the Internet and maybe a shy little comment from yours truly.
But if you're really passionate about something, and I mean REALLY passionate, you'll see that as your acquire more knowledge and skills your confidence grows, too. I don't have to read articles about photography twice anymore to understand all the technicalities; in fact, I see sometimes how much I've learned since I took my first close-up photo.
I took all the photos that you can see here with my 5MP camera-phone LG U990. If you planning to buy LG cell phone check my photos and movies first. I like this phone and highly recommend it to anybody. If you want to watch movies from LG U990 go to: http://www.youtube.com/user/CureAndHeal And remember that a great artist can produce an outstanding piece of artusing the simplest tools, so don't feel intimidated by people with gear that you can't afford. A super-duper DSLR camera will certainly expand possibilities but lack of it's a lousy excuse for doing nothing ! The most important in life is to have fun - take your photos only for the fun of taking photos and the ART will stay with you.
So start small and grow at your own pace, and if your passion is genuine, the Law of Attraction will help you.
My other advice is: stop worrying what other people can/will think about you and your photos (or anything else you're doing).
Dr. Seuss said: “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.”
This is your life - let them think what they want and continue doing what brings you fun and pleasure. As long as you're not hurting anyone looking for fun and joy should be your driving force...
